When we are born again, we not only receive Jesus as our Savior, and God as our Father, but we also receive God's enemies as are our enemies. We inherit warfare, and with that, the Armor of God, the guaranteed victory and the spoils of war. After the victory in the battle against Amalek, God instructed Moses to write the war story as a memorial, and rehearse that story in Joshua's ears. Reminding ourselves of the victories God has given through our hands strengthens us and encourages us that the next battle will have the same victorious outcome!
