A Year Of Resisting The Evil Report
Prophecy given through Barbara A. Williams, January 2, 1999

“This year will be a year of warfare,” says the Spirit of God, “It will be a tumultuous year and a year of turbulence in the spirit in many areas,” says the Lord. “For the enemy has already infected the church with a word of fear and a word of panic concerning their future, concerning their finances, concerning their material condition,” says the Spirit of God,

“But I have not promised turmoil to anyone,” says the Spirit, “that is not of My Spirit,” says the Lord, “This business of computers controlling everything and people being without is not of Me,” says the Spirit of God, “I have not given my people a spirit of fear, I have given them a spirit of Power, and of Love, and of a sound mind. 

And I provided the land of Goshen for my people, for there was darkness in Egypt but there was light in Goshen,” says the Spirit of God, “There was blood in the water in Egypt, but there was fresh water in Goshen,” says the Spirit of God. “I’ve always provided for my people, I am the Lord God and I change not,” says the Spirit of God, “And I have not called Men to live by merely natural means,” says the Spirit of God.

“And so much of your warfare this year,” says the Lord, “will be to combat this evil report that has already put oppression over the spirit of many of my people,  it has put a spirit of oppression over the church,” says the Spirit of God, “It has been a release of wrong words and fear, and fear of failure,” says the Spirit of God, “which I have NOT released to my people, for I release a good report,” says the Spirit, “I always release a good report.  I ALWAYS release a GOOD report to my people,” says the Spirit of God, “My thoughts toward you are good ALL the time,” says the Spirit of God.  “And I have not released you to live in fear, but I have released you to walk in power and love and a sound mind,” says the Spirit of God.

“And much of what you have gone through this year,” says the Lord, “is to prepare you to live supernaturally in the days to come,” says the Spirit of the Living God.  “To live out of your confession, and out of your faith, and out of obedience to Me and out of encouragement in Me, and out of understanding Me,” says the Spirit of the Living God.  

“And fear not the evil report, for it will pass and it will be history just like every evil report that has been released.  But those who receive it, and make preparation unto it will go shipwreck and will suffer loss and will suffer death,” says the Spirit of God.  “For you will hear of people committing suicide, You will hear of people abandoning families, You will hear of people running away, you will hear of people doing many many things that are of panic and of fear,” says the Spirit of God, “But I have called my people to be a people of light, and a city of refuge that is set upon a hill.  So you are there to help and you are there to encourage and to pray for those that will be shipwrecked and that will need my mercy and will need my grace in the coming year,” says the Spirit of the Living God. 

“So receive NOT the evil report of Men,” says the Lord.  “Receive it NOT!  It is not for you.  It is never sent to you,” says the Spirit of God.  “For it’s sent by the wicked one to pull you off course that you might miss the good thing that I have for you and that you would expect the evil thing,” says the Spirit of God.  “The spirit of anti-christ is raging in the earth these days,”  says the Lord.  “The spirit of anti-christ is raging and desiring to devour people who will listen and incline their ear to what sounds bad and what is negative,” says the Spirit of God.  “It is the spirit of anti-christ that would divide my people and confuse my people and cause some of my people to feel less than what they are,” says the Spirit of the Living God. 

“But I have called a people who understand my heart and understand my words, and know what I have planned for them,” says the Spirit,  “Know what I have planned for you;  you are prophetic people that you might KNOW what I have planned for you,” says the Spirit of God.  “So when people come, run to you in panic and fear, you will have the word of the Lord on your lips, and you will say to them, ‘Fear not, for the Lord our God, HE will fight for us,  HE will provide for us, HE will maintain us, and HE will sustain us’,” says the Spirit of the Living God. 

“So understand to REFUSE the evil report of Men.  For evil reports come and they go.  They’re released all the time  Every generation has at least one to fight,” says the Spirit of God.  “But if you hold fast to that which is true, and lovely and of good report, then you will be a city of refuge;  That you will have branches, that others will come in and lodge and receive shade from the sweltering heat that will come as the fires of hell rage against the earth,” says the Spirit of God.  “So understand,” says the Lord, “your position.  Understand what you are to do.  Understand that this will be a year of resisting.  Resisting. Resisting. Resisting. Resisting. Resisting the evil report of Men that comes through the false prophet.”  Says the Spirit of the Living God.  Hallelujah.

“Many churches will collapse and many ministries will fail during this scare,”  says the Spirit of God.  “As people panic and refuse to give unto Me,” says the Spirit of the Living God.  “But those are not the true givers anyway,” says the Spirit of the Lord.  “But there are people that I have ordained to sustain the works that I have my hand upon in this hour,”  says the Lord.  “The works that administer truth, and works that bring light to the people will be sustained,” says the Spirit of God. 

“And do not look to the left or to the right or make comment, even, about what is failing in this hour,” says the Lord.  “Make no comment about what is failing in this hour,” says the Spirit of the Living God.  “But let the anointing work, and let not your heart be troubled, and let yourself be settled and rooted and grounded in Me and in My Love,” says the Spirit of God. 

“And always be ready to release a good report.  Release a report of hope, and encouragement toward the people.  Hope and encouragement toward the people. Hope and encouragement toward the people. Hope and encouragement toward the people.  For this has been a year when I have positioned you where I want you,” says the Lord.  “I’ve positioned some of you in places where you will be able to sustain and encourage many people who would go shipwrecked and off the deep end during this time,” says the Spirit of God.  “And you think you’re there because you’re being elevated in the natural.   You’re being elevated in ME,” says the Spirit of God. 

“And keep your eyes on ME and not on your circumstances and your surroundings,” says the Lord.  “You are there for MY purpose.  You are there to do MY bidding.  You are there to hear from ME.  And you will sustain many if you do what I instruct you to do,” says the Spirit of the Living God.  “Some of you have been in preparation that I might place things inside of you that when I release you you will have something to give to others,” says the Spirit of the Lord. 

“So understand that I am watching all things at all times and I am making provision for everyone.  Everyone that has a need,” says the Spirit of God.  “So obey Me.  Obey Me in these things.  Obey Me.  Obey Me in these things.  Obey the voice of the Lord in these things.  Obey Me.  Obey Me,” says the Spirit of the Living God.
